Sensor Helper

Unlock real hardware readings — for free

Download Helper Installer

What it does

ChronoMetrics works great on its own, but macOS sandboxing limits what it can see. The Sensor Helper is a tiny free add-on that reads your Mac's actual CPU temperature and GPU utilization directly from the hardware — and feeds those numbers to ChronoMetrics so the temperature and GPU dials show real sensor data instead of estimates.

How it works

The helper runs quietly in the background, starts automatically at login, and talks to ChronoMetrics over a local connection on your machine. It never connects to the internet and uses virtually no CPU or memory.

Install

  1. Open the downloaded ChronoMetrics-Helper.dmg
  2. Double-click ChronoMetrics Helper Installer
  3. Click Install in the dialog
  4. ChronoMetrics will pick it up within a few seconds — no restart needed

Uninstall

Changed your mind? Easy to remove.

  1. Open the DMG again (or keep it mounted)

  3. Click Uninstall, then confirm

Or remove it manually from Terminal:

  2. rm ~/Library/LaunchAgents/app.chronometrics.helper.plist
  3. rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/ChronoMetrics
Requires macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon.
